We are seeking a motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Day Services Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating daily activities and providing support to high school students and young adults in our transition program. The program serves individuals with developmental disabilities and aims to promote independence, socialization, and personal growth.

Available Position:

Full-time; 40 hours per weekMonday-Friday 7:30 am to 3:30 pm with some Saturdays as neededWage: From $18.75 per hourHiring Bonus: $1,000 (paid in one installment upon completion of 6-months continued employment)

As the Day Services Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in creating a supportive and inclusive environment. You will collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals to develop and implement engaging activities, ensuring that each participant's needs and interests are met. Additionally, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the program, ensuring a smooth and effective program delivery.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Direct Services Coordinators address the wants and needs of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, which include:

Promote and encourage community integration and socialization opportunities in a positive manner.Coordinate daily activities for participants in the day programMulti-taking and excellent time management skills· Provide individualized support to participants, taking into account their unique needs and goalsCollaborate with other team members to design and implement individualized care plansMonitor the progress of participants and make necessary adjustments to their care plansReinforce therapies, including speech, behavioral support and physical therapyAdminister medications and maintain accurate medication recordsMaintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of participant progress and program activitiesEnsure all needs are addressed in a respectful manner with dignity and personal choiceComplete and maintain required documentation and trainings

Requirements:

At least 1 year of experience working with folks with intellectual and developmental disabilities or related experienceMust be at least 19 years of ageCompletion of High School Diploma or GEDPossess a valid driver's license and current auto insurancePass all background checks: criminal, DMV, dependent adult and child abuse registryOn the job training: in-person and on-lineCompassionate and patient demeanor
