Bethany Village is seeking a Registered Nurse Unit Manager to oversee the daily clinical operations of an assigned skilled nursing unit. This position is responsible for ensuring quality resident care, supporting nursing staff, maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations, and working closely with residents, families, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team.
Position Overview:
The RN Unit Manager provides clinical leadership and oversight for an assigned skilled nursing unit, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, resident-centered care. This role is responsible for coordinating care in alignment with regulatory standards, physician orders, and the individual needs of residents and their families. The RN Unit Manager fosters a supportive team environment while promoting excellence in clinical outcomes, communication, and staff development.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensure care procedures are in compliance with all state, federal and OSHA regulations.
- Ensure initiation and update of physician plan of treatment according to nursing policy and applicable law and regulation; monitors the residents care to ensure quality and appropriateness of services and performs random audits as needed.
- Ensure all reporting requirements are met and that all required paperwork is completed and accurate, i.e. infection control, accident/incident reports etc.
- Interview, hire, orient and supervise nursing staff; participate in employment decisions.
- Supervise/evaluate staff for conformity to company policies and procedures, laws, and regulations, and professional standards; ensure that nursing assignments and reports are completed and communicated to incoming shifts appropriately.
- Performs appropriate coaching and disciplinary procedures, mediates staff concerns and relays pertinent information to the DON.
Basic Duties & Responsibilities:
- Communicates with referring health care team, including condition, goals, and changes in care.
- Assist in physician rounds.
- Assists with hands on duties as needed/necessary.
- Endorses and complies with the vision, objectives, procedures, policies of Bethany Village.
- Maintain resident confidentiality.
- All other duties as assigned.
Education Required:
- RN License
- CPR Certified
Experience Required:
- Previous charge and/or long term care experience.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
