Job Description

Working under the guidance of ACC senior managers and executives, the analyst will help assess how artificial intelligence is reshaping clinical decision support, medical education, guideline development, registry analytics, research infrastructure, and cardiovascular business models. The role will support work across ACC’s AI strategy, revenue security, innovation, and product development efforts, with particular attention to how ACC can protect its institutional authority as a trusted source of cardiovascular knowledge while also creating new tools, services, partnerships, and businesses that respond to emerging market needs. This is a strategy-and-analysis role rather than a technical engineering position, but the successful candidate should be comfortable learning enough about AI systems, data products, and clinical workflows to communicate clearly with executives, physicians, technologists, and business leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Research emerging trends in AI, medicine, cardiology, digital health, clinical decision support, and health care data markets.
  • Track competitive developments involving medical AI companies, large language models, clinical knowledge platforms, registry-based analytics, and AI-enabled education or certification products.
  • Prepare concise written briefs, memos, slide content, and background materials for senior leadership, task forces, committees, and Board-level discussions.
  • Support analysis of potential ACC product and business opportunities, including registry-enabled research tools, AI-assisted clinical knowledge products, education offerings, certification pathways, and industry-facing data services.
  • Help document use cases, market needs, customer segments, risks, dependencies, and implementation considerations for proposed AI and innovation initiatives.
  • Assist with stakeholder interviews, market scans, competitive landscaping, and synthesis of input from physicians, staff, consultants, technology partners, and external experts.
  • Translate complex technical or strategic concepts into clear, executive-ready language.
  • Maintain organized research files, issue trackers, decision logs, and briefing materials to support ongoing strategy development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as economics, public policy, biology, health policy, data science, business, computer science, philosophy, or a related discipline.
  • Excellent writing, synthesis, and analytical skills.
  • Strong intellectual curiosity about artificial intelligence, health care, medicine, technology, and business strategy.
  • Ability to work with ambiguity, learn quickly, and turn loosely defined questions into structured analysis.
  • Comfort reading technical, clinical, market, and policy materials, even when the subject matter is unfamiliar.
  • Strong judgment, discretion, and professionalism when working on confidential strategic initiatives.
  • Facility with PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and basic research tools; experience with AI tools, data analysis, or health care research is helpful but not required.
