Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW | |
The Freight Forwarder Apprentice participates in a structured apprenticeship program designed to develop foundational knowledge and hands-on experience in international logistics and freight forwarding. Apprentices support daily operations across air freight, ocean freight, domestic transportation, customs brokerage, and project cargo. Through guided rotations in departments such as Key Accounts, Projects, and General Cargo, apprentices gain exposure to shipment coordination, operational processes, compliance requirements, and customer service. With support of experienced trainers and mentors along with coursework through the Houston City College apprenticeship program, apprentices build the skills needed to manage shipments and contribute to efficient global supply chain operations. This program combines practical work experience with structured learning to help apprentices launch a career in international logistics. | |
