Position SummaryAre you an experienced CNC programmer with a strong background in aerospace manufacturing? As a CNC Programmer, you will develop and maintain CNC programs, planning numerical control contour path machining of metal parts on automatic machine tools. Working closely with Production and Engineering, you will translate part designs into efficient, reliable programs - selecting tooling, machining parameters, and set-up methods that meet tight tolerances and customer quality standards. If you have programming experience, enjoy solving complex machining challenges, and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, we encourage you to apply and become part of our team!- Minimum 5 years of experience in the metal cutting industry (machining)
- Experience using Mastercam or equivalent software
- Knowledge of multi-axis CNC mill-turn programming, as well as lathe and 4-5 axis mill programming
- Experience with verification software such as Vericut or Crash Guard
- Familiarity with Siemens, Mazak, Mori-Seiki, or similar machine controls
- Familiarity with AS9100, flight safety requirements, 5S, and continuous improvement practices
- Can conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Perform CAM and machine programming, CAD fixture and tooling design, operator support and supplier liaison, time/cost estimation
- Analyze drawings, sketches, and design data of part to determine dimension and configuration of cuts, selection of cutting tools, and machine speeds and feed rates
- Evaluate part design requirements, and materials to determine CNC machining approach
- Select cutting tools and machining parameters appropriate for part and material
- Prepare CNC machine setup documents, including tooling, withholding lists, tool setup information, and specific set-up instructions
- Observe operation of machine on trial run to prove program and instructions
- Revise and improve CNC programming when requires, analyze machine set-ups and tool selections. Look into quality machining and good methods and handling
- Design fixtures, clamping and/or work holding methods
- Increase shop productivity by improving existing programs in terms of reliability and speed
- Promote and follow shop safety practices and policies
- Team-oriented

- Strong problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with a positive "Can Do" attitude
- Ability to think quickly and seek assistance when needed
