Salary: $180,000–$200,000 annually

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for an accomplished clinical embryologist who brings both advanced technical expertise and the ability to lead people, manage laboratory operations, maintain rigorous quality and regulatory standards, and support exceptional patient care.
The Lab Manager will oversee daily clinical embryology operations while working closely with laboratory and clinical leadership to optimize performance, develop staff, and ensure the highest standards of laboratory excellence.
Boston IVF is seeking an experienced Embryology Lab Manager to lead our Albany IVF laboratory. This is a hands-on leadership role combining advanced clinical embryology with laboratory operations, quality and regulatory oversight, and team development.
Laboratory Leadership & Operations
- Lead daily embryology laboratory operations, workflow and staffing
- Perform and oversee advanced IVF procedures across embryology, andrology, and endocrinology laboratory functions.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or related field required
- Advanced clinical IVF/embryology laboratory experience
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of laboratory operations, quality and regulatory requirements
- Must meet applicable New York State/CAP qualification requirements
- ABB Technical Supervisor certification preferred, not required
Schedule
Typical hours are approximately 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, with flexibility based on patient needs. Weekend coverage is required during active treatment/batch periods, and the Lab Manager must be available to respond to urgent laboratory alarms when necessary.
This position is on-site in Albany. Initial competency training may include approximately two weeks at our Waltham, MA laboratory.
