This role is focused on building and evolving mission-critical healthcare software that directly improves the safety, efficiency, and quality of cancer treatment planning. You will contribute to a fully remote engineering team developing scalable full-stack solutions used by radiation oncology clinics worldwide. The position combines hands-on development with architectural thinking, covering both frontend and backend systems in a highly regulated environment. You will help shape cloud-based applications that automate clinical workflows, reduce errors, and improve patient outcomes at scale. Collaboration is central, as you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams including product, QA, and clinical stakeholders. This is a high-impact engineering role where code quality, reliability, and purpose-driven innovation are essential.
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack features for clinical applications supporting radiation oncology workflows.
- Build scalable web and cloud-based systems using C#, JavaScript, and modern backend and frontend frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative healthcare software solutions aligned with clinical needs.
- Participate in code reviews, ensuring high standards of performance, security, and maintainability.
- Contribute to system architecture discussions and technical decision-making for scalable product development.
- Manage development tasks independently using agile workflows, tickets, and sprint planning tools.
- Support team growth through mentoring, knowledge sharing, and collaborative engineering practices.
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally with a BS or MS in Computer Science or related field.
- Strong proficiency in C#, Java, or C++ with deep experience in backend and full-stack development.
- Solid experience building web and cloud-based applications using modern software engineering practices.
- Hands-on expertise with JavaScript and frontend frameworks, as well as backend services in C#.
- Experience with relational or NoSQL databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
- Familiarity with secure software development practices, especially in regulated or healthcare environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills, ownership mindset, and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Preferred: experience with WPF, .NET, HL7/DICOM standards, HIPAA-compliant systems, or medical software development.
