NorthBoys and Northgirls are not typical children's retail.

We are a growing, niche, premium fashion retailer redefining kidswear in Canada. We operate four boutique locations across the GTA and are opening our fifth, and first large format store, at Upper Canada Mall in November 2026.

We specialize in curated designer formalwear, elevated casualwear, and accessories from newborn to size 16, with a strong focus on styling and client relationships. We are an authorized kids retailer for Ralph Lauren, Hugo Boss, Emporio Armani, Psycho Bunny, Lacoste, Michael Kors, LoveShackFancy, KatiejNYC, Mayoral and more. NorthBoys is one of only three Ralph Lauren Kids retailers in Canada and the only independent Psycho Bunny Kids retailer. Northgirls is the only Canadian retailer carrying LoveShackFancy for girls.

This is not volume retail. This is consultative selling and personal styling.

The Role

Sales Associate

As a Sales Associate, you are the face of the store — the person who greets the client, styles the outfit, and makes the visit feel worth the trip. You represent both banners on a large format floor.

Before Opening (September to November 2026)

• Help with receiving, ticketing, and setting the floor for opening
• Learn both banners, the product, and our service standards ahead of launch
• Prior to the store opening, training may take place at our Hillcrest Mall location.
  
  

Selling and Client Experience

• Greet and connect with every client, understand what they need, and style the full look
• Suggest additions and outfit around a piece rather than ringing a single item
• Build a personal client base through styling relationships, appointments, and follow up
• Know the product across both NorthBoys and Northgirls — brands, fits, sizing, and what pairs well together
• Deliver a polished, attentive experience from greeting through checkout
  
  

Performance

• Contribute to store sales targets and your own average transaction value, units per sale, and conversion
• Track your client follow ups and bring them back in for new arrivals and seasonal drops
  
  

Floor and Presentation

• Keep the floor sized, folded, steamed, and shoppable throughout the day
• Support merchandising resets, window changes, and mannequin updates
• Flag what is selling, what is sitting, and what clients are asking for
  
  

Operations

• Support receiving, ticketing, transfers, and replenishment
• Keep the back of house organized and product easy to find
• Follow opening, closing, cash handling, and loss prevention processes accurately
• Process sales, returns, and exchanges on POS

What We Are Looking For

• 1 or more years of retail sales experience, fashion preferred
• Clienteling or personal styling experience is a strong asset
• Comfortable on POS and with basic retail systems
• Availability including evenings, weekends, and peak seasons
