Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
The Merchandising Intern will assist the Buying/Merchandising Team in the selection and recommendation of products in accordance with the company’s mission, vision, values and corporate goals.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Perform market analysis comparing Mason private label assortments to competitors, focusing on pricing and product offerings.
· Conduct analysis of current promotional pricing strategies and present recommendations to stakeholders.
· Review of product information management (PIM) system to determine data integrity, correcting any issues found.
· Assist in merchandising processes as needed.
SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Provide input into product pricing.
· Complete special projects as assigned.
· Prepare catalog pagination (the sequence of numbers assigned to pages in a book or periodical) for each "book" and assist in review of catalog layouts and photography.
Requirements:SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· Actively enrolled as a student in a bachelor’s degree program majoring in Business, Merchandising/Buying, Marketing or related field.
· Must have at least 1 year of applicable retail experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work is generally sedentary, with no specific need for physical coordination or effort. The employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. May require physical effort associated with using the computer to access information, or occasional standing, walking, lifting needed to carry out everyday activities.
