Value Stream Lead: Embroidery, Heat Seal and Warehouse in Peoria, Arizona at The Antigua Group Inc

Purpose of Position:

• Lead the workflow and needs of the operations staff in assigned areas of Operations, such as embroidery, picking, logo picking receiving or heat seal
• Supports the Value Stream Manager and Supervisor in continuous improvement activities regarding SQDIP (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity)

Essential Functions:

• Assist with training associates on operations or warehouse processes and equipment
• Leads team functions and standard work processes in the assigned area
• Work with associates in assigned area to ensure Lean flow practices are followed
• Identifies waste-elimination opportunities to Value Stream Manager or Supervisor (VSM/VSS) and support corrective action plans
• Works closely with the VSM to define operational goals and develop plans to effectively reach them
• Supports team to meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Productivity metrics (SQDIP).
• Notifies VSM/VSS of any concerns regarding all HR, Safety, and Security work policies, specific work instructions, and quality system requirements.
• Behave, speak, and treat others in a respectful manner while supporting workflow.
• Participate in kaizen or improvement project teams
• Perform transactional functions such as routing, inventory adjustments, generating cycle counts, restocking
• Performs end-of-day order clean-up and reporting
• Enter orders into the AX or Dynamics system
• May assist Value Stream leadership in scheduling or assigning work roles for associates, especially to react to rapidly changing customer demands through out the day
• Support other departments (Customer Care, Logo Development, etc.) with gathering requested data, moving orders to production, and processing orders.

Education, Background and Skill Requirements

• Minimum 1 year Antigua experience in Heat Seal, Embroidery, or Warehouse or 2 years prior Lead experience
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Focused on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction
• Good analytical skills. Must be able to operate numerous software systems on a computer, tablet, or handheld equipment
• Strong team player. Must be able to guide associates to other work areas in a polite manner.
• Good oral communication skills with the ability to effectively interface with a variety of people at various technical and management levels
