This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Regional Sales Manager based in United States.
This is a high-impact sales leadership opportunity focused on growing architectural engineered building products across the Western United States. You’ll lead a network of direct sales professionals and independent manufacturer representatives while driving profitable revenue growth across a diverse territory. The role combines strategic sales leadership with hands-on technical support, customer engagement, and influence across complex construction projects. You’ll work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, distributors, and other decision-makers to increase product specifications and secure project opportunities. Success will require strong commercial judgment, technical understanding, and the ability to develop a high-performing sales organization. With approximately 30% travel, this role offers a strong field presence while remaining remote-based.
- Drive year-over-year revenue growth and meet or exceed sales budgets across assigned territories and product lines.
- Build, coach, and lead a high-performing sales organization comprising direct employees and independent manufacturer representatives.
- Set clear goals, establish accountability, monitor performance, and develop team members through coaching and performance plans.
- Provide technical guidance to sales professionals and customers by assessing project conditions and recommending appropriate architectural products.
- Support product specifications, submittals, and project requirements for solutions such as expansion joint systems, stair nosings, entrance systems, and photoluminescent egress products.
- Develop competitive sales strategies and targeted initiatives to increase specification rates and market share among architects, contractors, distributors, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain strong knowledge of competitors, pricing, products, and market dynamics to identify and win specification and project opportunities.
- Track sales performance, market trends, and competitive activity using CRM and reporting tools, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting.
- Deliver compelling sales and technical presentations to architects, contractors, trade organizations, and other industry stakeholders.
- Lead and support complex, multi-party negotiations to secure profitable and strategically valuable opportunities.
- Strengthen relationships with existing customers and develop new relationships across the full territory.
- Partner with Customer Service, Technical Services, and internal leadership to ensure strong execution and customer satisfaction.
- Travel approximately 30% to meet customers and prospects, support sales team members, and attend trade shows and industry events.
- Follow applicable safety requirements, including OSHA 10 standards and required PPE during construction-site visits.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of progressive sales experience, including at least 2 years in a sales leadership role.
- Demonstrated success building and leading sales teams that consistently meet or exceed ambitious growth targets in competitive markets.
- Hands-on experience with expansion joint systems, stair nosings, photoluminescent egress products, or similar specialty architectural products is strongly preferred.
- Strong executive presence with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly relationship-oriented, with the ability to influence multiple stakeholders and decision-makers throughout complex sales cycles.
- Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset and a strong customer-first approach.
- Skilled negotiator who is comfortable managing complex, multi-party sales scenarios.
- Confident presenter with the ability to deliver effective sales and technical presentations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as CRM and order management systems such as Salesforce.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to complete work accurately and on time.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams while also working independently when required.
- Proven ability to lead teams through clear direction, performance measurement, constructive feedback, and development.
- High school diploma required; a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and clean driving record required for this driving position; motor vehicle record and proof of insurance are part of the pre-employment process.
- Ability to visit construction sites and safely use required personal protective equipment.
- Ability to use hands and demonstrate finger dexterity, with the physical ability to occasionally reach, bend, kneel, and crouch and safely lift up to 40 pounds.
- Successful completion of a background check and drug screen is required.
