This role manages an assigned inventory of auto material damage claims across Personal Lines Auto, Garage Keepers Liability, and Commercial Auto Liability.
You will oversee claims from initial assignment and coverage verification through investigation, evaluation, recovery, and final disposition.
The position combines technical claims expertise with sound judgment, customer service, and disciplined adherence to established handling practices.
You will independently manage claims within assigned authority while escalating complex matters and providing technical updates to leadership when needed.
Success in this role requires strong organization, timely file management, and a commitment to equitable and accurate claim resolution.
You will work remotely as part of a dynamic claims environment while maintaining effective relationships with agents, insureds, and internal stakeholders.
This opportunity is specifically open to candidates located in Hawaii who hold a current Hawaii adjuster license.

• Receive and review claims assignments, verify applicable coverage, and determine the appropriate handling approach.
• Determine the method and scope of investigation required for each claim in accordance with established claims best practices.
• Review and manage outstanding claim files to ensure timely and adequate investigation, evaluation, and reserving.
• Maintain accurate and timely claim diaries and documentation throughout the life of each file.
• Evaluate and adjust claims within assigned authority levels and escalate matters requiring additional supervision or approval.
• Manage auto material damage claims, determine appropriate handling strategies and disposition methods, and oversee total loss claims.
• Consult with claims management on complex claims, claims requiring additional guidance, or matters exceeding assigned authority.
• Assess recovery opportunities and develop the information and documentation required to successfully pursue recoveries.
• Participate in quarterly claim reviews and comply with handling requirements for special-handling accounts.
• Ensure assigned claims are adjusted and managed equitably, promptly, and through final disposition in accordance with established best practices.
• Provide a high level of customer service to agents, insureds, and other stakeholders throughout the claims process.
• Communicate technical claims matters effectively to supervisors and management.

• 3+ years of experience handling auto material damage claims.
• A college degree is preferred.
• Current Hawaii adjuster license is required.
• Insurance designations or relevant insurance coursework are a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees and stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple claims, priorities, and deadlines effectively.
• Sound judgment and attention to detail when investigating, evaluating, reserving, and resolving claims.
• Ability to work independently while following departmental policies, procedures, established authority levels, and risk management controls.
• Commitment to providing responsive, professional service throughout the claims handling process.

• Annual base salary range of $53,200–$100,000, depending on factors such as market conditions, responsibilities, required skills, experience, and performance.
