Job Description
Emerson Health is seeking an experienced and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our growing Outpatient Rehabilitation team. In this role, you will work alongside talented Physical Therapists to provide exceptional patient-centered care, helping individuals recover from injuries, improve mobility, and return to the activities they love.

What You'll Do- Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
- Assist patients in achieving rehabilitation goals through individualized treatment plans
- Treat a diverse patient population with orthopedic, musculoskeletal, sports medicine, and post-surgical conditions
- Monitor patient progress and communicate findings to the supervising Physical Therapist
- Educate patients and families on exercises, injury prevention, and wellness strategies
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Deliver exceptional customer service and promote a positive patient experience
- Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program required
- 3-5 years of Physical Therapist Assistant experience in an outpatient rehabilitation setting required
- Strong experience treating orthopedic and sports medicine diagnoses preferred
- Experience with post-operative rehabilitation and manual therapy techniques is highly desirable
- Current Massachusetts Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license required
- Current BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers required
- Strong clinical skills and evidence-based treatment knowledge
- Ability to evaluate patient progress and identify changes in condition
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Commitment to patient satisfaction, service excellence, and quality outcomes
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and computer applications
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
