Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior SDET based in Brazil.
This role is centered on elevating software quality and delivery speed by combining deep automation expertise with strong technical leadership in a collaborative, fast-paced engineering environment. You will design and implement robust test automation frameworks, ensure end-to-end quality across complex web applications, and contribute directly to improving sprint delivery efficiency. The position blends hands-on engineering with strategic influence, as you will help define testing standards, optimize CI/CD pipelines, and reduce production risks through proactive quality engineering. You will work closely with developers, product stakeholders, and clients to ensure clear acceptance criteria and reliable delivery outcomes. The environment values ownership, autonomy, and continuous improvement, with strong emphasis on mentorship and cross-team collaboration. This is a high-impact role for an experienced SDET who enjoys both building scalable systems and guiding technical direction.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable end-to-end test automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium or Playwright.
- Build and optimize automated testing solutions for web and API systems using languages such as C# (.NET) or Java.
- Integrate automated testing frameworks into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps) including parallel execution and reporting.
- Identify, document, and analyze edge cases, risks, and gaps in acceptance criteria to improve overall product quality.
- Collaborate with developers, product teams, and clients to ensure clear requirements and efficient sprint delivery.
- Enhance team velocity by improving QA processes, reducing blockers, and contributing to technical decision-making during sprint planning.
- Serve as a technical subject matter expert, guiding test strategy, best practices, and automation standards across teams.
- Participate in code reviews, mentoring sessions, and knowledge sharing to support junior engineers and peers.
- Support recruitment efforts by conducting technical interviews and evaluating QA engineering talent.
- Present testing strategies, metrics, and quality insights during sprint reviews and stakeholder meetings.
- 5–8+ years of experience in software testing, test automation, or SDET roles within modern software development environments.
- Strong expertise in building and maintaining test automation frameworks using Selenium or Playwright.
- Proficiency in C# (.NET) or Java, with solid experience in API and UI test automation.
- Hands-on experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Experience designing test automation frameworks from scratch and scaling them in production environments.
- Strong understanding of software quality principles, test strategies, and SDLC best practices.
- Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to team growth through coaching and code reviews.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience collaborating directly with clients or business stakeholders in delivery environments.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development or testing tools (e.g., Copilot, Cursor, Claude) is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Fully remote work environment with flexible location within LATAM.
- Competitive compensation aligned with senior engineering roles.
- Strong work-life balance with a focus on sustainable 40-hour workweeks.
- Professional development support, including training, certifications, and learning resources.
- Opportunity to work on high-impact projects in the financial services and digital transformation space.
- Collaborative, people-first culture emphasizing autonomy, trust, and technical excellence.
- Paid time off and country-specific holidays depending on local regulations.
- Long-term stability within an established and globally distributed engineering organization.
