Lifecycle Specialist: Time & Attendance

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Lifecycle Specialist: Time & Attendance based in Netherlands.

As a Lifecycle Specialist: Time & Attendance, you will play a key role in supporting employee leave, attendance, and working time processes across multiple countries and jurisdictions. This position combines HR expertise, compliance knowledge, and operational excellence to ensure employees and clients receive accurate guidance and support throughout the employment lifecycle. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage complex employee cases, and contribute to the continuous improvement of global HR processes. Working in a fully remote and international environment, you will help maintain high standards of data integrity, legal compliance, and employee experience. This role offers the opportunity to influence operational efficiency through automation, innovation, and the responsible use of AI-powered tools.

Accountabilities:
  • Manage employee lifecycle cases related to time and attendance, including sick leave, family leave, working hours, public holidays, and time tracking, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a positive employee experience.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to employees and clients by providing guidance on employment legislation, leave regulations, contractual obligations, and labor law requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Support the implementation of legislative and policy updates, including collective bargaining agreement changes, while assisting with complex projects and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as payroll, legal, finance, and external authorities to ensure compliant and efficient employee lifecycle management.
  • Contribute to audits, compliance reviews, and operational initiatives that impact employees across different countries.
  • Maintain and enhance internal documentation, ensuring policies and procedures remain up to date with legal and regulatory changes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, automate processes, and leverage AI-assisted tools to increase efficiency, quality, and consistency.
  • Handle sensitive employee information with professionalism, confidentiality, and strict adherence to data protection standards.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in Human Resources, Payroll, Employee Lifecycle Management, or a related field, with strong exposure to leave management and attendance processes.
  • Solid understanding of employment law, employee relations, and compliance requirements across multiple countries or jurisdictions.
  • Experience managing complex employee absence cases, including long-term sick leave, documentation requirements, payroll implications, and stakeholder coordination, is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate sensitive situations professionally.
  • Business-level proficiency in written and spoken English; additional languages are considered an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently within a fast-paced, international, and fully remote environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail, documentation practices, and data accuracy.
  • Comfortable using digital collaboration and project management tools such as Slack, Notion, Zendesk, Google Workspace, and similar platforms.
  • Interest in process optimization, automation, and responsible AI usage, including familiarity with AI-assisted tools in HR or operational workflows.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of service and compliance.
