Job Description
Position Summary
The Thrift Shop Lead Clerk supports the daily operations of the thrift shop by providing excellent customer service, assisting with merchandising and sales floor organization, and serving as a team leader during assigned shifts. This position helps guide volunteers and staff, supports store operations, and assists management in maintaining an organized, welcoming, and efficient shopping environment.
Requirements
• High School Graduate/GED / Equivalent Work Experience
• 2 years of retail work experience
• 1 year previous supervisory/management experience
• Must possess a working knowledge of record maintenance, inventory control, and retail bookkeeping
• Ability to work with Volunteer Staff
• Work independently and with minimal supervision
• Must be able to stand for extended periods, to move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, and empty the donation bin which entails lifting, pushing and pulling.
• Ability to work varied locations and varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Salary Range: $17.68 – $25.02 hourly (based on experience)
