Job Title: Facilities Specialist

Employment Type: Full-Time, 40 hours/week

Reports to: Facilities Director

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Opportunity:

This position is responsible for daily maintenance and repair tasks throughout the corporate office and related facilities. This position requires a keen eye for detail, ability to recognize and solve problems. General knowledge and experience with tools and facility repair, the ability to stay organized and follow a routine checklist that provides regular inspection and cleaning assigned areas is required. Duties include but not limited to, cleaning, furniture and workstation assembly, maintaining inventory of building supplies, replacing light bulbs, trash removal, managing and organizing storage areas.

Responsibilities:

  • General facilities experience, ability to assemble furniture, do minor plumbing and electrical repairs. Needs to be able to assess and solve problems.
  • Responsible for daily maintenance and repair tasks throughout the corporate office and related external facilities.
  • Incredible ability to assess and solve problems relating to facilities and office operations.
  • Possess a keen eye for detail, ability to recognize and solve problems, general knowledge and experience with tools and facility repair.
  • Has the ability to stay organized and follow a routine and a checklist that provides regular inspection and cleaning assigned areas.
  • Completes job duties and assignments accurately and in a timely manner; works independently when necessary; pays attention to detail; works at a steady pace, regardless of pressures. Schedules time effectively; prioritizes assignments to avoid crisis.
  • Effectively handles pressure.
  • Works effectively with management, peers, vendors and customers (as applicable).
  • Demonstrates loyalty to the team and provides assistance when needed. Offers encouragement to others.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or a related field.
  • General knowledge of tools, furniture assembly, minor plumbing, electrical repairs, and facility upkeep.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and able to maintain a steady pace in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to safely lift, move, and assemble furniture and equipment as needed.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with employees, management, vendors, and customers.
  • Team-oriented attitude with a willingness to assist others and support overall facility operations.
