Permanency Specialist

Position Overview

KidsPeace invites you to join our mission‑driven team of professionals who provide hope, help, and healing to children, adults, and those who love them. The Permanency Specialist plays a vital role by working directly with children and families to help them achieve life‑long connections, including adoption.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet with children and families to complete units of service referred by the Statewide Adoption Network, including:
    • Child Profiles
    • Family Profiles
    • Child Preparation
    • Child Specific Recruitment
    • Adoption Finalization
  • Partner with youth, families, and stakeholders to support long‑term permanency goals.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and uphold KidsPeace values of compassion, integrity, and professionalism.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related Human Services field
  • 1–2 years of experience in the child welfare system (preferred)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Valid driver’s license and registered vehicle
  • Ability to work independently in the field
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
