Position Summary
The Location Manager is responsible for operating and running GSP Transportation’s rental car airport and/or neighborhood location(s). This role increases revenue by establishing relationships with local businesses, growing incremental sales, and leveraging fleet to maximize utilization, while supervising, coaching, training, motivating, and directing employees and delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Customer Experience
- Provide hands-on leadership to ensure every customer has an exceptionally positive experience in alignment with the company’s core values
- Ensure the team delivers a personalized customer experience in line with the company’s core values
- Monitor and manage customer feedback via NPS score and customer comments
- Demonstrate an open-door policy with staff; conduct frequent staff meetings and one-on-ones, provide constructive feedback, and celebrate employee successes
Sales & Revenue
- Drive revenue by meeting location-specific goals through coaching and motivating team members, making sales calls, and visiting local businesses frequently
- Take ownership of the location’s performance; act as a champion of change when improvement is needed, exemplifying the company’s core values
Fleet & Operations
- Effectively and efficiently manage fleet utilization; identify and communicate opportunities to increase utilization
- Complete and manage Out of Service reports, claims, damages, and losses; communicate results frequently with the regional director
- Conduct daily fleet inventory management and ensure asset protection protocols are in place and followed
- Pick up and deliver vehicles to customers, body shops, dealerships, FBOs, and other locations as needed
Team Management
- Handle onsite recruiting, daily scheduling, and management of location staff
- Perform duties associated with any position at the location as needed to build strong working relationships with employees and support the location’s success
Compliance & Communication
- Communicate regularly with peers and the regional director
- Uphold company standards and procedures; ensure team members participate in required training and stay current on policy and company communications
- Recognize systemic issues and areas of opportunity; implement process improvements
- Perform related duties as required or assigned by senior management
Qualifications
Required
- Solid leadership, mentoring, and coaching skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Detail-oriented with a process-improvement and analytical problem-solving mindset
- Strong time- and task-management skills
- Comfortable working independently, in a team setting, and in a customer-facing role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other business technologies
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory motor vehicle report
- At least 21 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States
- Minimum 3 years of management experience
- Customer service / customer-facing experience
Preferred
- College degree (or equivalent work experience)
- Car rental or automotive industry experience
Management Responsibilities
This position directly supervises all location staff and is responsible for onsite recruiting, scheduling, performance management, and personnel decisions. This position reports to the Regional Director and VP of Operations.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting, working on a computer, answering phones, standing, and walking
- 100% onsite, customer-facing role requiring a professional appearance and excellent customer service skills
- Extensive physical activity when cleaning and servicing vehicles, including walking, driving, lifting, squatting, twisting, and exposure to outdoor weather conditions
