Claims and Compliance Coordinator in Anderson, Indiana at Carter Logistics LLC

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for overall management of claims and incident investigation. This includes conducting accident and injury investigations, creating and reporting safety metrics, completing root cause analysis, completing internal/external reports and providing corrective action recommendations. The position will also assist the Compliance Manager with CTPAT, OHSA and customs compliance requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

• Complete auto accident investigations and internal reporting.

• Complete auto claim reporting to the insurance company’s third-party administrator.

• Assist with cargo claim investigations and communications.

• Manage workers compensation claims investigations and reporting.

• Complete safety incident root cause analysis and provide corrective action recommendations.

• Manage accident subrogation efforts and ensure timely retrieval of funds.

• Review and continually update standard operating procedures in the safety and compliance departments.

• Serve as back up to safety personnel for all safety related tasks.

• Assist with CTPAT quarterly audits and recertifications.

• Advise corporate management on new and existing compliance risks.

• Maintain OSHA accident reporting compliance and OSHA log compliance.

• Assist with Parent Company safety and compliance reporting.

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or GED required.

EXPERIENCE:

Prior claims handling experience preferred.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

None

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Must have the ability to learn new programs as necessary. Basic computer and Microsoft product skills required.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Solid work history and willingness to successfully function in a team environment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position is an office position within our crossdock facility. You will have access to our crossdock thus will need to follow all correct and proper PPE requirements set for entering the dock area. Such as but not limited to, wearing a reflective vest, shirt, or jacket, and steel toe shoes or shoe coverings.
