HSE Coordinator in Crestmead, Queensland at OSW
Job Description
About OSW Group
OSW Group is a fast growing global ecosystem of businesses united by a shared vision to accelerate the world's transition to smarter, more sustainable energy and technology solutions. Our portfolio includes One Stop Warehouse (OSW), GreenSketch, GreenDeal, Manta and Sunmine, combining expertise across renewable energy, AI-powered software, energy finance and digital infrastructure to drive innovation on a global scale.
With operations across Australia, Singapore, China, Europe, the United States and Mexico—and continuing to expand into new markets—we're creating opportunities for ambitious people to build meaningful, international careers. While each of our businesses has its own unique focus, we're connected by a collaborative culture, entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for challenging what's possible.
When you join OSW Group, you're joining more than a company—you're becoming part of a global team that's shaping the future of clean energy and technology. We invest in our people, encourage fresh ideas, celebrate success and provide the opportunity to grow alongside a business that's only just getting started.
We’re looking for an HSE Coordinator to join OSW and help strengthen workplace health and safety across our warehouses and distribution operations!
Reporting directly to our HSE Manager, you’ll play a key part in building and improving our safety systems, not simply maintaining existing processes. You’ll help develop practical safety procedures, identify areas for improvement and work with operational teams to put changes in place.
This is a hands-on role with regular warehouse visits, safety inspections, employee engagement and incident investigations. Interstate travel is a key part of the role, helping us roll out consistent safety standards across our Australian locations.
What you’ll be doing
- Helping the HSE Manager develop and improve our WHS systems, policies, procedures and risk assessments
- Coordinating workplace inspections, safety audits and hazard assessments across our sites, including interstate
- Identifying operational risks such as forklifts, warehouse traffic, loading, manual handling and battery storage
- Supporting incident and near-miss investigations, including finding root causes and recommending corrective actions
- Monitoring safety compliance and following corrective actions through to completion
- Coordinating safety inductions, toolbox talks and training with the HSE Manager and operational teams
- Managing injuries at site level, including supporting injured employees, liaising with managers, setting up suitable duties and return-to-work arrangements, and giving HR the information it needs for workers compensation claims
- Keeping WHS registers, documentation and reporting accurate and up to date
- Giving warehouse managers and employees practical safety support, and escalating to the HSE Manager where needed
About you
You’ll be someone who enjoys being out on site and working alongside operational teams, and who is confident speaking up when something isn’t safe. You like improving how things are done and making sure changes stick.
Ideally, you will have:
- WHS experience in warehousing, logistics, manufacturing or a similar operational environment
- Experience helping develop, implement and improve WHS systems, policies and procedures
- Sound working knowledge of Australian WHS legislation, standards and risk management principles
- Practical experience with workplace inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations
- The ability to work independently, take initiative and follow corrective actions through to completion
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, from the warehouse floor to management
- Confidence identifying unsafe practices, recommending practical improvements and escalating concerns appropriately
- Willingness and ability to travel interstate regularly
Qualifications and licences
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent (required)
- Current Australian driver’s licence (required)
- Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator certification (desirable)
- First aid, fire safety and manual handling training (highly regarded)
- WHS auditing qualifications or experience (desirable)
