Job Description

Title: Social Media Coordinator

Reports To: Brand Manager

Located: NYC HQ (Flatiron) – Office-based

Status: Exempt – Full Time

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for developing and sharing on-brand content across social platforms to drive visibility for Rafar Group’s portfolio of intimates brands, including iconic American lingerie brand Hanky Panky. This role is a true jack-of-all-trades social expert—someone who can conceptualize ideas, plan the content calendar, shoot and edit content, deploy across channels, and support light community management. Reporting to the Brand Manager, the Social Media Coordinator plays a key role in building brand awareness, engagement, and connection with our audience. The ideal candidate is deeply plugged into social media trends, understands the mechanics of platform performance, and has a strong creative instinct. They are excited to experiment, move quickly, and help shape how Hanky Panky, as well as Rafar’s growing roster of lingerie brands, show up in the social conversation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Concepting & Asset Development
  • Concept, create, and edit original social content that reflects the brand voice and visual identity
  • Shoot and edit short-form video and static content optimized for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and others as the channel mix evolves
  • Leverage existing brand photography, campaign assets, and influencer/UGC content to create engaging and varied social posts
  • Collaborate with the Brand Manager and Art Director to ensure content aligns with broader brand storytelling and creative direction
  • Bring fresh ideas and formats to the table, informed by social trends and cultural moments

Organization & Content Calendar Planning

  • Support the planning and execution of the social media content calendar, ensuring consistent and timely posting
  • Organize content assets, captions, and schedules to keep workflows efficient and clear
  • Coordinate with the Brand Manager to align social content with marketing initiatives, launches, and key moments
  • Maintain flexibility within the calendar to respond to trends, timely moments, and performance insights

Deployment & Channel Management
  • Publish and manage content across Hanky Panky social channels, ensuring accuracy, quality, and brand alignment
  • Monitor engagement and conduct light community management, including responding to comments and messages as appropriate
  • Track basic performance metrics and provide insights to help optimize content and improve engagement
  • Stay up to date on platform features, algorithm changes, and best practices to maximize reach and effectiveness

Influencer Marketing

  • Own day-to-day influencer outreach, relationship management, gifting, and campaign execution across all platforms.
  • Source, vet, negotiate, and onboard creators aligned with brand goals, target audiences, and budget.
  • Coordinate content deliverables, approvals, posting schedules, contracts, and product shipments to ensure seamless campaign execution.
  • Track campaign performance, affiliate/code redemptions, engagement, and ROI, delivering insights and recommendations to optimize future partnerships.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2+ years of hands-on experience managing social media for a brand, agency, or creator-focused organization
  • Demonstrated mastery of major social platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, and emerging channels, with strong understanding of platform performance and best practices
  • Proven ability to conceptualize, shoot, edit, and publish high-quality short-form video and static content
  • Proficiency in content creation and editing tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, Final Cut, Premiere Pro, or similar)
  • Experience supporting and managing content calendars and workflows using project management tools
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, assets, and deadlines simultaneously
  • Working knowledge of basic social analytics and reporting, with the ability to interpret engagement and performance metrics
  • Experience leveraging brand assets, user generated, and influencer content in compliant and creative ways
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong understanding of brand voice and tone
  • Highly adaptable, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, test-and-learn environment
  • Bachelor’s degree required
