If so, Cobb EMC is looking for an energetic and motivated Education & Community Relations Intern to join our team! Based on the attached position description, this internship offers hands-on experience supporting community outreach initiatives, educational programs, and special events throughout the communities we serv
Schedule: Flexible on length of program, with no more than 32-hour work weeks.
Responsibilities
As our Education & Community Relations Intern, you'll help bring Cobb EMC's community engagement efforts to life by:
Assisting with planning, coordinating, and facilitating community events, service projects, and meetings
Supporting educational programs that connect students, educators, and families with valuable learning opportunities
Participating in career days, literacy initiatives, career fairs, and STEM programming
Helping organize and support the exciting Solar Sprint Competition
Assisting with scholarship programs and community campaigns that help shape future leaders
Preparing communications, information packets, and outreach materials
Supporting programs that benefit foster care children and families, senior centers, assisted living communities, and special-needs families
Representing Cobb EMC at community events and school functions throughout the service are
Qualifications
You could be a great fit if you:
Have completed at least your sophomore year of college
Are pursuing a degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
Enjoy public speaking and engaging with diverse audiences
Have strong organizational and project management abilities
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
Are comfortable using Microsoft Office applications
Love working with people and giving back to the community
