Qualifications
The Marketing Operations Manager enables Mixbook’s Growth Marketing organization to execute faster, measure more accurately, and scale with confidence. This role connects marketing strategy with the technology, data, processes, and cross-functional partnerships required to support effective campaign execution, experimentation, product launches, and business decision-making.
Working across CRM/Lifecycle, Paid Media, App Growth, CRO/Merchandising, and Analytics, the Marketing Operations Manager drives alignment on marketing technology needs and ensures channel-led tool decisions account for shared data, integration, measurement, governance, and operational requirements. Reporting to the VP of Growth, this person will partner with channel owners, Platform Engineering, Product, Data, Analytics, Finance, and external vendors to translate business needs into clear requirements and ensure selected solutions are implemented and supported successfully.
Ultimately, this role provides operational continuity across Mixbook’s marketing technology and ecommerce ecosystem, ensuring the systems, data, and processes that power Growth Marketing are connected, reliable, and scalable. Success is measured by increasing operational clarity, measurement confidence, and launch readiness across the organization.
Key ResponsibilitiesMarketing Technology
- Serve as the operational steward of Mixbook's marketing technology ecosystem.
- Partner with channel owners to evaluate, implement, and optimize marketing platforms and integrations.
- Establish governance, documentation, and best practices across marketing systems.
- Improve operational efficiency through automation, AI, and scalable processes.
- Own governance for campaign tracking, UTMs, events, attribution, and marketing data quality.
- Partner with Engineering, Platform, Data, and Analytics to implement and validate marketing instrumentation.
- Lead QA for marketing tracking across channels, platforms, and product launches.
- Monitor and resolve tracking, integration, and data quality issues.
- Ensure marketing technologies, tracking, and customer data practices support applicable privacy, consent, and compliance requirements.
- Translate Growth Marketing requirements into clear technical specifications for Engineering and Platform teams.
- Coordinate marketing technology implementations and launch readiness across cross-functional stakeholders.
- Drive alignment across Marketing, Product, Engineering, Data, Finance, and external vendors.
- Develop repeatable operational processes that improve execution and scalability.
- Partner with Analytics to define marketing reporting requirements.
- Validate that dashboards and reporting accurately reflect business and measurement requirements.
- Document metrics, tracking standards, and operational workflows.
- Identify opportunities to improve measurement, reporting, and operational effectiveness.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Marketing Operations, Growth Operations, Marketing Technology, or a related role supporting DTC ecommerce, consumer app, subscription, or growth marketing organizations.
- Experience supporting cross-functional Growth Marketing teams across CRM/Lifecycle, Paid Media, App Marketing, CRO/Merchandising, Analytics, and Product.
- Hands-on experience implementing, administering, or optimizing marketing technology platforms and measurement tools such as Iterable, AppsFlyer, GA4, Google Tag Manager, Rockerbox, Impact, Looker, Google Ads, Meta Ads, or comparable platforms.
- Experience supporting DTC, ecommerce platforms (e.g. Shopify).
- Strong understanding of campaign tracking, event instrumentation, attribution, UTMs, pixels, customer journeys, marketing data quality, and measurement best practices.
- Experience partnering with Product, Engineering, Platform, Data, Analytics, Finance, and external vendors to deliver marketing technology initiatives.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements, implementation plans, QA processes, and operational workflows.
- Strong project management, documentation, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Working knowledge of marketing privacy, consent, and customer data governance requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, CAN-SPAM).
- Experience with mobile app attribution, deep linking, and app event tracking.
- Familiarity with APIs, system integrations, and marketing data pipelines.
- Experience validating marketing data using structured queries.
- Experience using AI and automation tools to improve marketing operations, QA, documentation, or workflow efficiency.
- Experience supporting major product launches or cross-functional growth initiatives in a fast-paced consumer business.
