Job Description
Traffic Control is seeking a Superintendent in Knapp, these are the expectations:
• Demonstrated knowledge of traffic control operations, roadway construction practices, and MUTCD and WISDOT standards
• Oversee scheduled and timely maintenance of company equipment.
• Works both independently and as a team member providing leadership to field teammates.
• Promote accountability, productivity, and quality workmanship across all assigned projects
• Ability to adapt as project locations vary without established territory of service.
• Collaboration, together with others sharing knowledge while leading.
• Capable of making decisions to do work the right way, even if it means it is going to be harder and take more time and energy.
• Thrives in a fast-paced multi-project environment.
• Driven to accomplish tasks for themselves and the team.
• Thorough understanding and demonstrated knowledge of safe job site construction practices.
• Possess self-motivated qualities to adapt to change, schedules, and deadlines.
• Actively listen to teammates, encourage collaboration, and help develop practical solutions to challenges
• Establish and maintain both effective and professional communication using oral and written methods with owners, general contractors, and all teammates.
• Verify material requirements when comparing estimated to actual needs.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and plans.
• Schedule crews and needed material.
• Provide crew members with direction and coaching.
• Coordinate and monitor all components of multiple projects at one time while planning for future projects.
• Aptitude to problem solve as critical issues arise.
• Driven to accomplish goals and able to push forward with a positive attitude.
• Attention to detail with strong organizational skills to efficiently expedite projects.
• Available for after hour and weekend emergency calls
• Travel as necessary.
