Job Description

PURPOSE:

This position is fully remote. The foreclosure Affidavit of Indebtedness Paralegal will be responsible for ensuring that service is properly completed on all files where a complaint has been filed to initiate Foreclosure. The processor will also correspond with clients regarding the status of service.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Must be very analytical, detailed, and needs to have excellent problem solving
  • Preparing Affidavit of Indebtedness for execution by Client
  • Review Judgment figures and financial breakdowns
  • Reviewing payment histories to determine recoverable and non-recoverable amounts
  • Reviewing documents such as Taxes, Insurance, Property Inspections and Preservations, etc.
  • Requesting fees for pleadings that require additional fee approval
  • Extensive communication with clients and borrowers via phone, email and client systems.
  • Assist with other duties and special projects as needed.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize large workload
  • Must possess good organizational Skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Must be very analytical, detailed, and needs to have excellent problem solving
  • Other duties assigned by management

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prior experience in Foreclosure processing client systems preferred (Black Knight, Tempo, Vendorscape, etc.)
  • Previous law firm or loan processing experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of Judgment Affidavits preferred
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Microsoft Excel) preferred
  • Ability to work quickly, accurately and with attention to detail in a fast paced environment.
  • Must be punctual and have good, consistent attendance.
  • Must be a team player and willing to offer assistance when required
  • Must use good judgment and be courteous and tactful in communication with clients and employees/supervisors.

General Competency Factors

  • Must be proficient in software tools, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet. Preferred proficiency in BKFS/ICE, Microsoft word, and PDF programs.
  • Optional knowledge – Proficiency using default servicing software such as CaseAware, SSE, Tempo, Clarifire, and/or other Servicing Portals.
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Must provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers
  • Identifies and solves issues in a timely manner.
  • Must be a team player and willing to help others in their department whenever necessary.
  • Must be extremely organized and be able to multi-task.
  • Conscientious with respect to work completion, deadlines, time management and attendance.
  • Takes initiative in face of obstacles and identifies what needs to be done and takes action.
