Engineering Lead

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Engineering Lead based in Brazil.

This role offers the opportunity to lead and empower a diverse engineering squad, driving the delivery of innovative technology solutions.
You will play a key role in coordinating projects, aligning teams, and ensuring successful execution across multiple initiatives.

Accountabilities:

As an Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for guiding engineering teams, managing project execution, and ensuring effective communication between stakeholders. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a diverse engineering squad by providing direction, support, mentorship, and continuous feedback to help team members grow and overcome challenges.
  • Planning, organizing, and distributing tasks and responsibilities across the team while ensuring priorities, deadlines, and expectations are clearly understood.
  • Monitoring project progress, managing resources, adjusting priorities when needed, and ensuring successful delivery within agreed timelines and objectives.
  • Acting as a bridge between clients, stakeholders, and engineering teams by ensuring clear communication around requirements, updates, feedback, and scope changes.
  • Facilitating team meetings to align activities, address blockers, and maintain strong collaboration.
  • Identifying and resolving technical and operational challenges that may impact project delivery.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives by reviewing workflows, optimizing processes, and promoting higher standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Helping team members develop professionally by identifying learning opportunities and supporting career growth.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership capabilities, project management experience, and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Required qualifications include:

  • Experience planning, organizing, and managing technology projects from conception through delivery.
  • Ability to manage timelines, resources, priorities, and deliverables to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Experience working with agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or Lean.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar platforms.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly to different audiences.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience preparing reports, presentations, and project updates in a concise and structured way.
  • Strong collaboration skills and experience working with multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Previous experience leading or mentoring engineering teams is highly valued.
