Barton Mines Company is actively hiring a Mine Operator to join our North Creek, NY operation.

This position's starting pay is $20.00 per hour, with growth opportunities through on-the-job training.
This position rotates on 4 - 10 hour shifts working from 6:30am - 5:00pm; Monday - Thursday and Wednesday - Saturday. Overtime, weekend work, and holiday hours are scheduled, as needed.

Job Summary
In this position, you will operate crushing machinery and multiple pieces of heavy equipment to support efficient mining operations. Performs routine maintenance, troubleshoots equipment issues, and completes repairs to maximize production and minimize downtime. Works collaboratively with the operations team, follows all safety and MSHA regulations, and provides support in various mine roles as needed to maintain workflow.

- High school diploma/GED, preferred
- Track record of safe work performance including an adequate understanding of safety rules and regulations
- Ability to meet the physical demands of an industrial environment including lifting, walking, climbing stairs, frequently lifting 55lbs and standing on concrete floors, etc
- Can read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
- Previous industrial experience is preferred
- Willing and able to work 10 hour shifts and overtime as needed
