About the role

What You'll Be DoingReplace the responsibilities with:
- Identify, install, and configure hardware and software solutions.
- Troubleshoot technical issues by diagnosing and repairing hardware and software faults.
- Resolve network connectivity issues.
- Communicate with end users to identify root causes and ensure timely issue resolution.
- Replace or repair hardware components as needed.
- Support the rollout and deployment of new applications and technologies.
- Create and maintain procedural and technical documentation.
- Manage multiple support requests simultaneously while maintaining service quality.
- Test and evaluate new technologies for business use.
- Conduct electrical safety checks on equipment.
Update the qualifications to:
- Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience in technical support, desktop support, or a similar IT support role.
- Proficiency with Windows operating systems (required).
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems (preferred, not required).
- Experience with Mac OS.
- Experience with remote desktop applications and help desk software.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Microsoft, Linux, or Cisco certifications are advantageous.
Update to:
- Knowledge of networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience supporting mobile devices and MDM solutions.
- Understanding of security best practices, including firewalls, antivirus, and encryption.
- Experience with scripting languages to automate routine tasks.
- Experience using or supporting AI tools and technologies (preferred, not required).
- Ability to create clear and concise technical documentation.
