Lead the Way to Intelligent Banking with Us!
You might not think about what happens behind the scenes when you check your bank balance or deposit a check from your phone, but we do. Every day.
Kinective empowers banks and credit unions to move beyond keeping up with technology to shaping the future of banking. Our platform seamlessly connects the right tools, delivers real-time data, and drives smarter operations for more than 4,000 financial institutions nationwide. We are a fast-growing team built on individual ownership, company-wide collaboration, and setting industry-leading standards. Here, new ideas are encouraged, candid feedback is welcomed, and your growth truly matters as much as the company’s. At Kinective, we are leading the way to intelligent banking together and enjoying the journey along the way.
Why This Role Matters
Every role at Kinective exists to move the needle for our clients, partners, and the financial institutions we serve. As a Sales Engineer, you will be the technical backbone of our sales and partner motion — helping financial institutions and fintech companies understand not just what our Data Warehouse and BI solutions do, but what they make possible.
You will partner closely with our sales and channel teams to translate complex data capabilities into clear, compelling value for customers at every stage of the buying journey. From discovery and demos through integration and adoption, you will be the person who makes the technical click — building trusted relationships with partners and customers alike, and ensuring that what we sell is something they can actually put to work.
Requirements:What You’ll Own
Pre-Sales Technical Support
- Partner with the sales team to deliver compelling, customer-specific demonstrations of Kinective’s Data Warehouse and BI tools — translating technical capabilities into clear business value for financial institution and fintech audiences
- Lead discovery conversations to understand customer data environments, use cases, and decision-making needs, tailoring the technical narrative to what matters most to each buyer
- Respond to technical questions throughout the sales cycle, bridging the gap between what customers need to know and what the product can do
Partner Enablement & Onboarding
- Guide partners through the onboarding and integration process for Kinective’s data solutions, providing hands-on support, training, and resources to ensure they can deliver strong outcomes for their clients
- Serve as an ongoing technical resource for the partner channel, helping partners build confidence and competency with our Data Intelligence and BI tools over time
Customer Success & Problem Solving
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers and partners post-sale, monitoring solution performance and providing proactive recommendations to optimize how they use Kinective’s products
- Collaborate with Product and Support teams to troubleshoot issues quickly, ensuring customers have a smooth experience and that recurring challenges surface as product feedback
Market Intelligence & Cross-Functional Contribution
- Stay current on trends in fintech, data, and business intelligence to bring relevant, timely insights into customer conversations and internal strategy discussions
- Share field learnings with Product, Marketing, and Sales to help sharpen messaging, improve the product, and keep Kinective’s data solutions competitive in the market
How We’ll Measure Success
Success here isn’t about checking boxes — it’s about propelling Kinective’s mission to lead the way to intelligent banking. You must bring excellence to your craft, balance resourcefulness with respect, share and celebrate unique expertise and diverse perspectives, and continuously raise the bar as we innovate and grow. Specifically, you will know you’re winning when you are:
- Delivering technical demonstrations and discovery conversations that accelerate deals — making the value of Kinective’s data solutions undeniable for financial institution buyers
- Owning the partner onboarding experience so completely that partners can go to market with confidence and deliver real outcomes for their clients
- Working effectively with Sales, Product, and Support to resolve customer challenges quickly and ensure what we promise in the sales cycle holds up in production
- Improving how customers and partners use our solutions over time — through proactive optimization, sharp market insights, and feedback loops that make the product and the pitch better
Necessary Qualifications & Competencies
- 3–5 years of experience in a sales engineering, technical pre-sales, or solutions consulting role, preferably in fintech, data, or a related technology environment
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, BI tools, and analytics platforms — you don’t need to be a developer, but you need to speak the language fluently
- Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and compellingly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience managing partner or customer relationships through onboarding, integration, and ongoing enablement
- Genuine curiosity about the fintech and banking industry, with the drive to stay current on trends and bring that knowledge into customer conversations
- Strong problem-solving instincts and comfort navigating ambiguous technical challenges across internal teams and customer environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience is warmly considered
