About Boston Legacy FC
Boston Legacy FC (the “Club”) is Boston’s professional women’s soccer team, competing in the National Women’s Soccer League since our inaugural 2026 season. We are dedicated to building a championship-caliber organization on and off the pitch. We are passionate about advancing women’s sports, investing in our local community, and redefining the future of professional soccer. As a club with a big vision, we’re building something extraordinary from the ground up and looking for entrepreneurial team members who want to help shape what comes next.
The Role
Boston Legacy FC is looking for a Director of Sales to lead and scale ticketing revenue for one of the most anticipated new clubs in professional women’s sports. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, you will be the driving force behind our ticketing business owning the strategy and execution across season memberships, group sales, premium and hospitality, and single-match sales, and leading the ticketing function day to day.
This is a roll-up-your-sleeves leadership role built for a start-up environment. You will personally close business while building, coaching, and scaling the team and the systems that turn a brand-new club into a sold-out, sustainable ticketing operation. If you’re energized by ambitious targets, a blank canvas, and the chance to fill a stadium for Boston, this is your role.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and execute the ticketing sales strategy across season memberships, group sales, premium and hospitality, and single-match sales, in partnership with the VP of Sales.
- Lead the ticketing function day to day, setting priorities, standards, and a high-performance, results-driven sales culture.
- Hire, coach, and develop a high-performing ticket sales team as the Club scales.
- Lead from the front. Personally build a pipeline and close high-value accounts and key relationships.
- Set and manage sales targets, pipelines, forecasts, and reporting, holding the team accountable to clear metrics.
- Build the ticketing playbook from the ground up: sales processes, scripts, cadences, and CRM workflows.
- Partner closely with marketing, CRM, and revenue operations to drive fan acquisition, conversion, and retention.
- Develop relationships with groups, corporate partners, schools, youth soccer organizations, and the broader community to grow the fan base.
- Continuously analyze performance and the market to optimize pricing, inventory, and sales strategy.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of ticket sales or sports sales experience, including direct team leadership and a track record of building and scaling sales operations.
- Demonstrated history of meeting and exceeding aggressive revenue targets.
- Experience building a function from the ground up or operating in a start-up or expansion environment.
- A true player-coach, equally comfortable setting strategy and personally closing deals.
- Proficiency with CRM and ticketing platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Ticketmaster/Archtics, SeatGeek, or similar).
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- A passion for women’s sports, soccer, and growing the game in Boston is a strong plus.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and matchdays as the schedule requires.
