This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Paralegal, Insurance Defense based in United States.

This role is a high-responsibility legal support position focused on managing complex insurance defense matters in a fast-paced, remote environment. You will play a key role in supporting litigation workflows from case initiation through resolution, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across all procedural requirements. The position involves close coordination with attorneys, courts, clients, and opposing counsel while handling a high-volume caseload. You will be responsible for preparing legal documentation, managing discovery processes, and maintaining precise case records. The environment is detail-driven and deadline-oriented, requiring strong organizational discipline and the ability to prioritize effectively. This is an opportunity to contribute directly to litigation outcomes while operating with a high degree of autonomy.

Accountabilities:
  • Manage insurance defense cases with minimal supervision, ensuring all procedural steps are completed accurately and within required deadlines across a high-volume caseload.
  • Obtain and organize records through subpoenas, DWQ requests, and FOIA processes, ensuring completeness and compliance with legal standards.
  • Review, analyze, and summarize medical records, including the preparation of medical chronologies and paid versus incurred cost analyses.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents such as answers, motions, and related pleadings, supporting attorneys throughout litigation stages.
  • Handle e-filing in Texas state and federal court systems while maintaining accuracy and adherence to filing protocols.
  • Coordinate depositions, mediations, hearings, and client or witness interviews, ensuring efficient case progression.
  • Communicate professionally with courts, opposing counsel, and internal legal teams while accurately tracking and documenting case activity and billable time.
Requirements:

This role requires significant experience in insurance defense litigation support, with strong familiarity with court procedures and legal documentation workflows. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing competing deadlines in a fast-paced, remote environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision are essential.

  • 4–5+ years of experience in insurance defense paralegal work
  • Strong knowledge of Texas and federal court e-filing systems
  • Experience managing subpoenas, discovery, and medical record analysis
  • Ability to prepare legal pleadings and litigation documentation accurately
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines in a high-volume environment
  • Comfort working in a fully remote legal support setting
