Clubs Editor & Content Writer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Clubs Editor & Content Writer based in the United States.

This role is central to shaping and refining curriculum content that supports children, leaders, and families engaged in faith-based discipleship programs. You will ensure that all written materials are clear, accurate, engaging, and aligned with established theological and editorial standards. Working in a mission-driven, collaborative environment, you will contribute to both editing and original content creation across a wide range of educational and ministry resources. The position requires a strong editorial eye, sensitivity to audience needs, and the ability to maintain consistency across multi-format curriculum materials. You will collaborate closely with curriculum developers, designers, and subject matter experts to ensure high-quality, impactful content delivery. This is a remote-first role with occasional travel for strategic meetings and team collaboration.

Accountabilities:

Responsible for ensuring editorial excellence and consistency across curriculum and ministry content while contributing to content development that supports children’s discipleship programs.

  • Copyedit and proofread curriculum materials including handbooks, leader guides, teaching resources, Scripture memory tools, and family content
  • Review and refine supporting materials such as parent resources and ministry activity guides
  • Ensure all content aligns with theological standards, brand voice, and editorial guidelines
  • Verify Scripture references, doctrinal accuracy, and terminology consistency across materials
  • Maintain clarity, tone, and quality across content for children, leaders, and families
  • Develop and revise curriculum content in collaboration with curriculum and content teams
  • Adapt materials for print, digital, and in-club use cases
  • Improve readability, engagement, and usability across diverse audience groups
  • Collaborate with designers, writers, and subject matter experts to ensure production readiness
  • Provide editorial feedback and support cross-functional alignment on content quality and timelines
  • Contribute to curriculum evaluation, improvement, and ongoing content consistency initiatives
Requirements:

This role requires strong editorial expertise, attention to detail, and experience working with structured content, ideally within educational or ministry-focused environments.

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Education, Theology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 4+ years of professional copyediting or editorial experience
  • Strong command of English grammar, style, and editorial standards
  • Experience editing curriculum, educational, or audience-specific content (children, families, or leaders preferred)
  • Ability to adapt tone and content for multiple audience types
  • Experience reviewing theological or doctrinal content with accuracy and discernment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Proficiency with collaborative tools such as Google Workspace
  • Experience in publishing, ministry, or church-based content environments strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with discipleship or faith-based curriculum development is an advantage
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available)
