Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain and verify necessary patient information to facilitate accurate admission into the hospital’s information system.
- Serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing a friendly and professional interaction to build rapport and ease patient anxiety.
- Assist patients with completing admission paperwork and address any questions or concerns they may have.
- Review patient accounts to identify outstanding balances and attempt soft collections by engaging with patients to resolve unpaid bills.
- Act as an advocate for hospital programs and services, promoting patient-centered care aligned with the hospital’s Mission, Vision, and Motto, “The Patient is First in ALL.”
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or experience in healthcare administration is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and professional demeanor.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with tact and discretion.
- Basic proficiency in computer systems and data entry.
- Prior experience in healthcare, billing, or collections is a plus but not required.
