This role sits at the center of a high-growth, acquisition-driven environment where building scalable People integration capability is critical to long-term success. You will lead end-to-end HR integration efforts across multiple acquisitions, ensuring employees experience a smooth, compliant, and well-structured transition into a rapidly expanding organization. The position combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution, covering diligence, Day 1 readiness, post-close stabilization, and operational handoff. You will work cross-functionally with HR, Legal, Finance, Operations, and executive stakeholders to translate complex deal activity into clear, actionable People plans. A key focus is building repeatable integration frameworks that improve speed, consistency, and employee experience across every acquisition. This is a highly influential role for someone who thrives in ambiguity and can bring structure to fast-moving M&A environments.
In this role, you will lead People integration strategy and execution across acquisitions, ensuring alignment between business objectives, operational continuity, and employee experience.
- Lead end-to-end People integration for acquisitions, including diligence, Day 1 readiness, stabilization, and transition to business-as-usual ownership.
- Build and manage cross-functional HR integration pods involving HRIS, Payroll, Benefits, Legal, Compliance, Operations, IT, Finance, and business leadership.
- Conduct HR diligence and human capital risk assessments covering workforce structure, compensation, benefits, compliance, systems, and employee relations.
- Translate diligence insights into integration plans, risk mitigation strategies, and clear Day 1 execution requirements.
- Own Day 1 employee readiness, ensuring clear communication, access to systems, benefits understanding, and support channels for acquired employees.
- Drive talent integration activities including org design alignment, leadership mapping, retention planning, and culture integration.
- Develop scalable integration tools, playbooks, templates, and dashboards to standardize and improve future M&A execution.
This position requires strong HR leadership experience with deep exposure to M&A, transformation, and complex, multi-stakeholder environments, ideally within operational or field-based workforces.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in HR, HR Business Partnering, HR operations, HR transformation, or M&A integration roles.
- Proven experience leading or supporting post-merger integration, HR diligence, or acquisition-related People transformation.
- Strong understanding of core HR domains including HRIS, payroll, benefits, compliance, employee relations, and talent management.
- Experience working with distributed, multi-site, or field-based workforces in fast-paced operational environments.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives through influence.
- Excellent communication skills, including executive-level reporting and employee-facing messaging.
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and drive structure in evolving environments.
- Experience in industries such as field services, logistics, transportation, manufacturing, or similarly operational organizations is a plus.
- Strong change management, organizational design, and culture integration experience preferred.
- Competitive base salary ranging from $175,000 to $215,000 depending on experience and location
