BW Replacement Off-Shore Analyst in India at Jobgether

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a BW Replacement Off-Shore Analyst based in India.

This role focuses on supporting a strategic data modernization initiative aimed at retiring legacy SAP BW and SAP Business Objects platforms. You will play a key part in assessing existing BW implementations and translating them into modern cloud-based architectures using Azure Databricks. The position requires strong analytical and technical capabilities to ensure a smooth migration of data workloads while maintaining performance, reliability, and business continuity. You will collaborate with technical and data engineering teams to design scalable solutions that align with cloud-first principles. This is a hands-on role where you will contribute directly to implementation efforts, bridging legacy systems with modern data platforms. The environment is transformation-driven, offering exposure to large-scale cloud migration projects and advanced analytics ecosystems.

• Analyze and assess the existing SAP BW and SAP Business Objects landscape to understand current data structures, workflows, and dependencies.
• Support the technical implementation of Azure Databricks as part of the enterprise data modernization and migration initiative.
• Contribute to the design and execution of data pipelines that enable migration from legacy BW systems to cloud-based solutions.
• Work closely with data engineers and architects to ensure seamless data transformation and integration.
• Assist in validating migrated data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and performance alignment with business requirements.
• Help enable the decommissioning of SAP BW and SAP Business Objects by ensuring all critical workloads are successfully transitioned.

Requirements:

• Experience in data engineering, data analytics, or related technical roles with exposure to SAP BW or SAP Business Objects environments.
• Hands-on experience or strong familiarity with Azure Databricks and cloud-based data processing.
• Understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and large-scale data migration projects.
• Knowledge of SQL and scripting languages such as Python or similar.
• Ability to analyze complex legacy systems and translate them into modern cloud architectures.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in data validation and migration tasks.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in offshore and distributed teams.
