Job Summary
Hey there! Are you a dynamic marketing generalist who thrives on variety, loves the energy of live events, and is a natural storyteller both behind and in front of the camera? If so, we want you on our team.
At Qyrus, we are looking for a high-energy Marketing Generalist to own our end-to-end event execution across the US and UK markets. But this isn't just a logistics role. You’ll be the face, voice, and creative engine of our US marketing presence; bridging the gap between our US team and our global marketing engine in India. From running high-profile sponsorship's to scripting quick social videos, hosting on-camera content, and building community, you’ll have your hands in a little bit of everything. If you’re ready to take true ownership and make a massive impact, let’s talk.
Key Responsibilities (What you’ll be doing)· Own the Event Lifecycle: Take absolute end-to-end ownership of all US and UK events and trade shows where Qyrus is sponsoring or exhibiting. You'll handle everything from pre-event planning and booth logistics to on-site execution and post-event follow-ups.
· Drive Sales Enablement: Act as the critical bridge between marketing and the US sales team. You will equip our reps with the event collateral, pitch decks, talk tracks, and localized content they need to turn event booth conversations into closed deals.
· Master Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the ultimate glue connecting different arms of the company. You'll coordinate seamlessly with cross-functional teams; from Product and Sales to our global creative marketing engine in India—ensuring brand alignment and smooth project delivery.
· Be the US Content Anchor: Head into the office to capture the energy of our US team. You’ll shoot high-quality video clips, behind-the-scenes footage, and culture recordings, collaborating closely with our India creative team to make sure the US crew is a core part of our global social media themes.
· Step in Front of the Camera: Be completely comfortable hosting, interviewing, and speaking on camera. You’ll be the go-to person for quick event recaps, video explainers, and social snippets.
· Write & Script: Lend your voice to short-form social copy and video scripts that are punchy, engaging, and aligned with our brand identity.
· Drive Community & Influencers: Help build and nurture our US tech community. You will identify, reach out to, and collaborate with industry influencers to expand Qyrus’s organic reach and brand authority.
Required Skills (What you need to bring)
· The Generalist Edge: 3 to 6 years of core marketing experience, with a solid track record of managing corporate events from scratch.
· Camera Confidence: You genuinely enjoy being on camera, have great screen presence, and can articulate tech concepts in a relatable, engaging way.
· Content Creation Chops: Smartphone videography skills (framing, good lighting, clear audio) and the ability to capture clean, editable raw footage for a production team.
· Punchy Copywriting: Strong short-form writing skills for platforms like LinkedIn, along with the ability to write natural-sounding video scripts.
· Project Management: Stellar organizational skills to manage vendors, event timelines, and cross-continental communication across the US and India time zones without breaking a sweat.
Good to Have (The extra cherries on top)
· Experience in the B2B tech, DevOps, or SaaS space.
· An existing network or understanding of the software engineering/testing community.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
· Ability to travel across the US for major event executions.
· A portfolio or examples of past work, whether it’s an event you ran, content you wrote, or a video of you on camera!
