Job Description
Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Quality Supervisor, the Supplier Quality Technician will maintain inspection of incoming materials and components. Supports the maintenance of supplier controls in partnership with the Supplier Quality Engineer and other operations team members.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Performs receiving inspection on incoming materials and components.
- Retains and archives supplier material certificates, certificates of conformance, inspection data, etc. in accordance with applicable procedures.
- Monitors and updates inspections plans in the ERP system based on engineering changes or supplier performance.
- Identifies, segregates, and dispositions nonconforming materials received from suppliers.
- Supports the Supplier Quality Engineer with:
- Determining supplier at fault issues identified in production
- Gathering, reviewing, and retaining supplier PPAP deliverables
- Communicating with suppliers in relation to nonconformance investigations and returns
- Collecting supplier performance data for monitoring purposes
- Reviewing part specifications to define, create and set up inspection plans

Qualifications
Education:
Highschool Diploma or Equivalent
Experience and/or Training:
- 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Blueprint reading
- Use of measurement tools, including Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)
- Intermediate-level Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Familiarity with PPAP processes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel
- Broad understanding of materials, manufacturing technologies and processes preferred
- Proficiency with electronic ERP systems and inspection management systems preferred
