About the role
Saint Bibiana at Hotel Bardo Savannah is seeking a Restaurant Manager to lead primarily evening operations and deliver a polished, high-touch dining experience. This is a hands-on, highly visible role for a leader who thrives on the floor—supporting the team, engaging with guests, reinforcing steps of service, and ensuring consistent execution throughout each shift.
The Restaurant Manager partners closely with culinary, beverage, and hotel leadership to create memorable, personalized experiences while maintaining strong service standards, team accountability, and operational efficiency.
This is an on-site position is based in Savannah, Georgia. Candidates without restaurant leadership experience will not be considered.
What you'll do
- Lead evening restaurant operations with a visible and engaged presence throughout service
- Ensure consistent execution of established steps of service and elevated hospitality standards
- Coach, support, and develop front-of-house team members through real-time feedback and ongoing training
- Conduct effective pre-shift meetings that prepare and motivate the team
- Engage with guests, anticipate needs, and customize experiences to make each visit feel personal and special
- Lead service recovery with confidence, urgency, and sound judgment, turning challenges into opportunities to build guest loyalty
- Support beverage execution through strong cocktail, wine, and spirits knowledge
- Coach the team on thoughtful recommendations, suggestive selling, and increasing check averages without compromising the guest experience
- Monitor service flow, pacing, floor coverage, cleanliness, and overall restaurant presentation
- Partner closely with culinary and beverage teams to ensure seamless communication and execution
- Support onboarding and training, with a strong focus on product knowledge, service standards, and guest engagement
- Assist with scheduling, labor management, staffing, opening and closing procedures, and daily operations
- Contribute to financial performance through labor management, cost awareness, upselling, and operational consistency
Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of progressive restaurant leadership or supervisory experience
- Experience within a respected fine-dining, upscale, luxury, or high-volume restaurant known for elevated service and operational complexity
- Strong knowledge of elevated steps of service and the ability to train and coach others to those standards
- Solid cocktail, wine, spirits, and overall beverage knowledge
- Proven ability to drive suggestive selling and revenue through authentic, guest-focused recommendations
- Exceptional service recovery skills and the ability to resolve concerns with confidence, creativity, and care
- Confident, polished, and approachable floor presence
- Passion for personalizing experiences and creating memorable guest interactions
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and team leadership skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
