Job Description
The Senior Clinician is primarily responsible for oversight and coordination of clinical services offered to assigned clients, including the provision of individual, group and family therapy. The Senior Clinician also provides training on clinical issues to other staff as necessary and assists other sites on clinical issues when needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Human Services or related field required. Appropriate licensure preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years post master's experience working with children/adolescents and experience with major psychiatric diagnosis. Prior experience providing individual, group and family therapy, managing an individual caseload and providing clinical and treatment team leadership. Experience working with 3+ different client populations.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Must be 21 years of age.
JOB DUTIES:
- Within assigned Program site, provide clinical services and individual, group and family therapy using appropriate approaches, techniques and interventions; Develop and implement new specialized treatment plans and curricula as necessary.
- Participate in treatment planning, discharge and aftercare planning.
- Complete timely, effective and accurate documentation including, but not limited to biopsychosocial and safety assessments, QA, chart review and utilization review.
- Co-manage the therapeutic environment by working with treatment team members to ensure the coordinated treatment and care of clients; Recommend program and treatment strategies and consult on client issues. Facilitate meetings and mentor co-workers on clinical care and treatment issues.
- Develop program and treatment strategies; develop and evaluate programs and services to maintain progressive and effective treatment.
- Provide supervision to clinicial team including therapists and case managers. Communicate clearly with utilization, benefits and appeals.
