This role offers the opportunity to own and enhance the technical foundation of enterprise PeopleSoft environments within a fully remote engineering team.
The PeopleSoft Platform Developer will be responsible for designing, configuring, upgrading, and maintaining critical platform infrastructure that supports business operations.
This position combines deep PeopleTools expertise with modern engineering practices, including cloud technologies, automation, and DevOps principles.

The PeopleSoft Platform Developer will manage the technical lifecycle of enterprise PeopleSoft environments, ensuring platform stability, scalability, and continuous improvement. The role requires strong technical ownership, collaboration across teams, and the ability to translate complex requirements into reliable solutions.
- Design, install, configure, upgrade, and maintain enterprise PeopleSoft environments and related technical components.
- Own PeopleTools platform operations, including upgrades, application images, security configurations, and system performance improvements.
- Manage PeopleSoft infrastructure components such as WebLogic, Tuxedo, application servers, and Process Scheduler servers.
- Administer and support Elasticsearch/OpenSearch environments used with PeopleSoft applications.
- Support Oracle database administration activities and ensure effective platform performance.
- Manage Linux/Unix environments, including shell scripting and system troubleshooting.
- Implement and maintain high availability and disaster recovery solutions for PeopleSoft environments.
- Support PeopleSoft Cloud Manager and automation capabilities to improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, operations, and business teams to deliver scalable technical solutions.
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, documentation efforts, and knowledge sharing.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote strong engineering practices across the team.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide timely resolutions while maintaining system reliability.
The ideal candidate is an experienced PeopleSoft technical professional with strong platform administration skills and a solid understanding of enterprise infrastructure, cloud technologies, and modern development practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of hands-on PeopleSoft PeopleTools administration experience.
- Strong experience performing PeopleTools upgrades and working with PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM).
- Proven experience managing WebLogic, Tuxedo, PeopleSoft application servers, and Process Scheduler environments.
- Experience administering Elasticsearch or OpenSearch in support of PeopleSoft platforms.
- Working knowledge of Oracle Database administration.
- Strong Linux/Unix administration skills and shell scripting experience.
- Familiarity with PeopleSoft Cloud Manager or comparable automation tools.
- Experience supporting high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Experience with PeopleSoft certifications is a plus.
- Experience running PeopleSoft on OCI, AWS, or Azure environments is preferred.
- Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Ansible is a plus.
- Familiarity with CI/CD approaches for PeopleSoft change management is preferred.
- Experience with PeopleSoft Selective Adoption strategy is an advantage.
- Competitive annual salary range of $120,000–$140,000 USD.
