CMMS Replacement Planning

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a CMMS Replacement Planning Consultant based in United Kingdom.

Join a high-impact consulting engagement focused on shaping the future of enterprise maintenance and asset management systems. In this role, you will assess existing CMMS/EAM environments, define future-state strategies, and help organizations prepare for successful technology modernization initiatives. Working with cross-functional stakeholders, you will combine business analysis, enterprise architecture, and project leadership to deliver strategic recommendations that support executive decision-making. This position offers the opportunity to influence large-scale transformation projects, improve operational efficiency, and establish long-term governance frameworks. If you thrive in complex enterprise environments and enjoy solving business and technology challenges, this role provides an engaging and rewarding opportunity in a fully remote setting.

Accountabilities
  • Lead enterprise-wide assessments of existing CMMS/EAM environments, documenting current business processes, operational workflows, system integrations, and data landscapes.
  • Facilitate stakeholder interviews, workshops, and executive presentations to gather business, technical, operational, and strategic requirements.
  • Perform gap analyses and define future-state business processes, functional requirements, technical architecture, and implementation priorities.
  • Evaluate enterprise CMMS/EAM platforms and provide strategic recommendations that support modernization, procurement planning, and long-term technology roadmaps.
  • Develop implementation strategies including governance frameworks, migration readiness plans, data remediation approaches, and integration recommendations.
  • Assess data quality across key maintenance and asset management domains, identifying risks and recommending cleansing, normalization, and governance improvements.
  • Produce executive-level reports, business cases, project documentation, implementation roadmaps, and readiness assessments that guide successful transformation initiatives.
  • Support project governance by maintaining planning documentation, stakeholder engagement activities, risk management, issue tracking, and status reporting throughout the engagement.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of consulting experience delivering complex enterprise business, technology, asset management, or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Proven expertise conducting current-state assessments, future-state planning, implementation readiness evaluations, and strategic roadmap development.
  • Strong background in CMMS/EAM modernization, replacement planning, system assessments, or enterprise implementation projects.
  • Experience with enterprise CMMS/EAM platforms such as IBM Maximo, Maximo Application Suite, or equivalent maintenance and asset management solutions.
  • Solid understanding of facilities maintenance, asset management, preventive maintenance, work order management, inventory management, service requests, and operational reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience assessing enterprise data quality, developing remediation strategies, supporting migration readiness, and establishing data governance practices.
  • Ability to engage effectively with executive leadership, business stakeholders, architects, technical teams, privacy and security specialists, and operational leaders.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, presentation, business analysis, documentation, and project management skills.
  • Experience within healthcare, public sector, or other asset-intensive organizations is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline; relevant professional certifications are considered an advantage.
Benefits
  • Fully remote contract opportunity with flexible work arrangements.
  • Opportunity to lead high-visibility enterprise transformation and modernization initiatives.
  • Exposure to complex, large-scale asset management and facilities operations projects.
  • Collaborative environment with cross-functional business and technology stakeholders.
  • Strategic consulting role with significant influence on executive decision-making and long-term technology planning.
  • Opportunity to work with leading enterprise CMMS/EAM platforms and modernization best practices.
  • Professional growth through challenging consulting engagements and enterprise transformation initiatives.
