About the Funding Specialist Role:
As a Funding Specialist at BoeFly, you will play a critical role in empowering small business owners to achieve their entrepreneurial dreams. You’ll guide clients through the entire loan process—from gathering initial documentation to securing funding—while collaborating with lenders to identify and negotiate the best financing solutions tailored to their needs. This role
combines analytical expertise, relationship-building, and problem-solving to make a meaningful impact on the success of small businesses.
In this dynamic position, you’ll work directly with business owners to evaluate financing options, ensure compliance with lender requirements, and navigate challenges to deliver seamless funding experiences. Responsibilities of the Funding Specialist:
- Ownership of the entire loan process for clients, guiding borrowers from the initial introduction through to loan closing, while proactively addressing any challenges to ensure a smooth and successful experience.
- Collect and evaluate loan documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance while tailoring solutions to meet client needs.
- Conduct credit analysis and educate clients on loan products and lending processes, tailoring solutions to meet their needs.
- Act as the primary intermediary between clients and lenders, negotiating and securing optimal financing opportunities.
- Cultivate strong connections with clients, lenders, and partners to foster trust and long-term collaboration.
- Maintain accurate and confidential account records.
- Work closely with internal teams and external partners to refine processes and deliver exceptional service to clients.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field (preferred) or equivalent professional experience.
- 1–2 years of experience in SBA lending, banking, equipment leasing, merchant cash advances, or similar industries.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in reviewing financial statements, cash flow analysis, and industry trends.
- Experienced with computer systems, including Microsoft Excel and CRM tools.
- Exceptional communication skills—both verbal and written—with a client-first mindset.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to solve complex problems and develop creative solutions
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously
