Position Title: Electrical Project Engineer – Bluebeam Specialist
Location: Reno, Nevada
Compensation: $44-$50 | Per Diem: $4,515 | Hourly W2 Full Time | OT after 40 hours | Benefits: Health, Vision, Dental |
Position Overview
The Electrical Project Engineer – Bluebeam Specialist role is a vital position within Halo Technical Solutions Global’s project delivery team, supporting large-scale industrial construction projects with a strong electrical scope. This role is responsible for maintaining the current field drawing set in Bluebeam Revu, creating and managing drawing hyperlinks, incorporating approved RFIs and submittals, and ensuring field personnel have access to accurate and current project information.
This position supports field execution by organizing electrical drawings and linking plans, schedules, details, equipment tags, and supporting documentation into an easy-to-use digital drawing set. The Electrical Project Engineer – Bluebeam Specialist also manages drawing revisions, verifies links following each update, maintains revision history, and helps enforce document-control procedures throughout the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the current field drawing set in Bluebeam Revu.
- Upload approved drawings to the designated field platform.
- Create hyperlinks between plan callouts, details, schedules, and reference sheets.
- Link RFI responses and approved submittals to affected drawing locations.
- Link fixture, panel, and equipment tags to applicable submittals, schedules, shop drawings, and installation information.
- Create and maintain bookmarks, page labels, slip sheets, Sets, and revision overlays.
- Verify all links after each drawing revision.
- Maintain an organized drawing index for tablets and field computers.
- Archive previous drawing sets to preserve revision history.
- Identify outdated drawings, broken links, and conflicting information.
- Communicate updates to office and field teams.
- Enforce project document control procedures.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in electrical construction, project engineering, document control, or related role.
- Strong Bluebeam Revu experience, including Batch Link, Slip Sheet, Sets, Studio, bookmarks, and hyperlinks.
- Experience with Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or the General Contractor’s document management system.
- Understanding construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and revision processes.
- Ability to read electrical plans, schedules, details, and equipment tags.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and written communication skills.
- Ability to track revisions and identify conflicting or outdated information.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PDF software, and electronic filing systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively with office and field teams.
Preferred Qualifications (Optional)
- Degree or technical training in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Bluebeam Revu training or certification.
- Experience supporting data center, mission-critical, or large-scale electrical construction projects.
- OSHA 10 certification or equivalent safety training.
