The Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, functionality, and performance of software products throughout the development lifecycle. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to maintain high-quality releases and continuously improve testing practices.
- Create, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and testing documentation.
- Perform manual testing across web and mobile applications, including functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and smoke testing.
- Develop and maintain automated testing scripts using modern QA frameworks and tools.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution while collaborating with development teams.
- Test REST APIs using tools such as Postman or similar platforms to validate system functionality.
- Work closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to reproduce issues and verify fixes.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and release validation activities.
- Improve QA processes, automation coverage, testing standards, and overall product quality.
- Ensure applications meet quality expectations before production deployment.
- Support performance, load, security, and reliability testing initiatives when required.
The ideal candidate is a skilled QA professional with strong experience in software testing methodologies, automation, and agile development environments. You should have excellent analytical abilities, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently within a distributed team.
- 3+ years of experience as a QA Engineer, Software Test Engineer, or Quality Assurance Engineer.
- Strong understanding of manual testing methodologies and software quality principles.
- Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar tools.
- Solid knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC).
- Experience testing RESTful APIs using Postman or comparable tools.
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum development methodologies.
- Experience using issue-tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and database testing practices.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and version control workflows.
- Exposure to SaaS, cloud-based applications, or digital products.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with remote international teams.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent QA certification is preferred.
- Experience with performance, load, or security testing is an advantage.
