This role offers the opportunity to design, implement, and manage secure, reliable cloud infrastructure supporting critical national security missions.
You will work across cloud networking, infrastructure automation, systems reliability, and performance optimization.
The position combines hands-on engineering with close collaboration across development and operations teams.
You will help ensure cloud environments remain efficient, resilient, and aligned with demanding security requirements.
The role also provides opportunities to contribute technical expertise to business development and proposal activities.
This is a fully remote opportunity for an experienced cloud professional with an active Top Secret clearance.

- Design, implement, and manage cloud-based networks, systems, and infrastructure to support mission-critical applications and services.
- Ensure cloud infrastructure delivers strong reliability, security, scalability, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to optimize network performance and improve cloud-based applications and services.
- Apply infrastructure-as-code practices using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation to support consistent and scalable infrastructure deployment.
- Monitor cloud and network environments, identify performance issues, and implement improvements to maintain availability and efficiency.
- Use advanced networking knowledge across protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, BGP, and DNS to troubleshoot and optimize cloud environments.
- Develop and maintain scripts using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar languages to automate operational and engineering tasks.
- Contribute technical expertise to business development initiatives, including technical interviews, documentation, proposal development, and proposal review activities.
- Support broader engineering and operational priorities as required, maintaining a high standard of technical quality and mission focus.
- Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance is required.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, a scientific discipline, or a related field, along with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure, networking, systems engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- A relevant cloud certification, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Network Engineer.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code technologies such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Advanced understanding of networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, BGP, and DNS.
- Experience using network monitoring, observability, and performance management tools.
- Strong scripting and automation capabilities using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or comparable languages.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with development, operations, and other technical teams in a mission-focused environment.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to contribute to technical documentation, proposal writing, technical interviews, and business development activities when required.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining consistent communication and delivery.
- Comfortable with prolonged periods of desk-based computer work and able to lift approximately 10–15 pounds when necessary.
- Salary: $130,000–$155,000 annually, with final compensation determined based on education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other relevant factors.
