The position combines hands-on engineering with close collaboration across development and operations teams.

This is a fully remote opportunity for an experienced cloud professional with an active Top Secret clearance.

• Design, implement, and manage cloud-based networks, systems, and infrastructure to support mission-critical applications and services.
• Ensure cloud infrastructure delivers strong reliability, security, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to optimize network performance and improve cloud-based applications and services.
• Apply infrastructure-as-code practices using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation to support consistent and scalable infrastructure deployment.
• Monitor cloud and network environments, identify performance issues, and implement improvements to maintain availability and efficiency.
• Use advanced networking knowledge across protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, BGP, and DNS to troubleshoot and optimize cloud environments.
• Develop and maintain scripts using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar languages to automate operational and engineering tasks.
• Contribute technical expertise to business development initiatives, including technical interviews, documentation, proposal development, and proposal review activities.
• Support broader engineering and operational priorities as required, maintaining a high standard of technical quality and mission focus.

• Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance is required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, a scientific discipline, or a related field, along with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure, networking, systems engineering, or a closely related technical field.
• A relevant cloud certification, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Network Engineer.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code technologies such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Advanced understanding of networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, BGP, and DNS.
• Experience using network monitoring, observability, and performance management tools.
• Strong scripting and automation capabilities using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or comparable languages.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with development, operations, and other technical teams in a mission-focused environment.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to contribute to technical documentation, proposal writing, technical interviews, and business development activities when required.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining consistent communication and delivery.
• Comfortable with prolonged periods of desk-based computer work and able to lift approximately 10–15 pounds when necessary.

• Salary: $130,000–$155,000 annually, with final compensation determined based on education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other relevant factors.
