This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Desenvolvedor Java Sênior / Backend Engineer based in Brazil.
In this role, you will join a highly collaborative and fast-evolving technology environment, building backend systems that support products used at scale by thousands of users every day. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust Java-based services and APIs, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability. This position offers strong technical ownership, with active participation in architectural decisions and product evolution. You will work closely with cross-functional squads, contributing to both technical strategy and hands-on implementation. - Develop and evolve backend APIs and services using Java, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Design technical solutions and contribute to software architecture decisions, applying best practices and design patterns.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code with strong focus on quality and documentation.
- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and mentoring other engineers when needed.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, QA, UX, and other engineers within agile squads.
- Contribute to the definition of technical standards, engineering guidelines, and development practices.
- Engage in strategic technical discussions to support product scalability and long-term evolution.
- Strong experience as a Senior Java Developer (Java 8+), working on backend systems and APIs.
- Solid hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Data, and Spring Security.
- Proven experience building and integrating RESTful APIs using JSON.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing (unit and integration tests).
- Familiarity with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Experience with microservices, messaging systems (Kafka or RabbitMQ), and Docker is a plus.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and event-driven architecture is a differential.
