Position Summary

IQ Fiber is seeking a Senior Sales & Events Advisor to lead a team of high-performing Direct Sales Advisors, driving awareness and consideration of IQ Fiber and making it the internet provider of choice in the communities it serves. This role blends individual sales production with team leadership, requiring daily presence in assigned fiberhoods and close collaboration with sales leadership, marketing, engineering, and operations to capitalize on sales opportunities across the customer journey.

This is a highly active, field-based role responsible for planning and executing local sales events, building relationships with community leaders and residents, and achieving market penetration objectives. The Senior Sales & Events Advisor serves as a local expert on fiber and broadband services and is required to attend community events as scheduled, including evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays. A company vehicle is provided for travel within assigned territories.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead a high-performing direct sales team with a focus on identifying opportunities and driving new customer acquisition across assigned fiberhoods.
  • Plan and execute field sales activities including blitz events, community activations, and resident engagement initiatives that advance both brand awareness and sales objectives.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key civic leaders, HOAs, and community influencers to build local momentum for IQ Fiber's PR, marketing, and sales efforts.
  • Establish IQ Fiber as the provider of choice for broadband services by delivering a consistent, professional, and compelling community presence.
  • Meet or exceed individual and team market penetration targets and sales performance goals on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Partner cross-functionally with sales leadership, marketing, engineering, and operations to reduce friction across the customer journey and ensure a smooth onboarding experience from sale through installation.
  • Coach and support team members to maintain high activity levels and effective sales execution in the field.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience in field sales, outside sales, or community-based sales; telecommunications experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to drive team performance and manage expectations in a field sales environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Valid driver's license with no more than two minor infractions in the past two years; must pass background check and drug screening.
  • Ability to travel locally within assigned territory and safely operate a company vehicle for extended periods.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays.
  • Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and humidity.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to operate a personal computer and wireless equipment.
  • Ability to communicate and present effectively across diverse audiences, with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously with strong organizational and time-management skills.

What Success Looks Like

  • Individual and team activity goals — canvassing, appointments, and event attendance — are consistently met, with measurable subscription growth in assigned fiberhoods meeting or exceeding market penetration targets.
  • Strong relationships are built with community leaders, HOAs, and local influencers, increasing awareness and trust in IQ Fiber and creating local momentum for PR, marketing, and sales efforts.
  • Effective field activations — blitzes, community events, and resident engagement activities — are planned and executed to generate qualified leads, improve conversion, and reinforce IQ Fiber as the provider of choice.
  • Cross-functional partnerships with sales leadership, marketing, engineering, and operations reduce customer journey friction and ensure a smooth, timely onboarding experience from sale through installation.
  • Team members are coached and supported to maintain high field activity, strong execution, and consistent performance against individual and collective goals.
