BGF Industries is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to lead warehouse and logistics operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory movement, and warehousing activities. This position plays a key role in ensuring customer shipments are delivered on time, inventory transactions are accurate, and materials move efficiently throughout the organization.

The Logistics Manager will provide leadership to logistics supervisors and warehouse personnel while working closely with Customer Service, Planning, Plant Operations, Management, suppliers, and other BGF locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage assigned warehouse and logistics operations, including shipping, receiving, and warehousing.
• Directly supervise Logistics Supervisors and warehouse staff and provide leadership, guidance, and performance feedback.
• Partner daily with Customer Service, Planning, Plant Operations, Management, and Warehouse teams to ensure customer shipments and material movements are completed on time.
• Help manage finished-goods and material inventory levels to support customer demand and efficient plant operations.
• Coordinate shipments and deliveries with other BGF Industries locations and suppliers.
• Manage warehouse space allocations, storage areas, and material flow throughout assigned facilities.
• Ensure accurate ERP system transactions related to inventory movements, customer shipments, and transfers between locations.
• Support efficient and cost-effective logistics and plant operations.
• Assist with the maintenance and accountability of fixed assets within areas of responsibility.
• Monitor logistics performance and provide regular updates and feedback to the Management team.
• Promote safe, organized, and efficient warehouse and logistics practices.
• Perform other duties and assignments as directed by Management.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with ERP systems, warehouse operations, and transportation management.
• Experience leading or supervising warehouse, logistics, shipping, or receiving personnel.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple departments, facilities, suppliers, and customers.
• Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
• Strong attention to detail, particularly regarding inventory accuracy and system transactions.
• Ability to prioritize work and respond effectively to changing customer and operational requirements.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This position requires regular activity in a manufacturing and warehouse environment. The successful candidate must be able to:

• Stand for extended periods, potentially up to 10 hours per day, on wood or concrete flooring.
• Sit as needed to perform assigned tasks, including extended periods of computer work.
• Move throughout the department and facility and occasionally visit other departments, plants, or warehouses.
• Climb stairs, ladders, and caged ladders as required.
• Lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Bend, stoop, reach, push, and pull as required to perform job duties.
• Use a computer and perform data-entry and inventory-management activities.
• Communicate effectively by telephone and in person.
• Operate a company or personal automobile/pickup truck when required for business-related travel to other plants or warehouses.

Environmental & Safety Requirements

The Logistics Manager may work in areas where there is exposure to fiberglass, dust, finishing fumes, and other manufacturing materials or chemicals. The employee must be able to follow all applicable safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) based on the work assignment.
